Brett McGillivray

Brett McGillivray is professor emeritus in the Faculty of Geography at Capilano University, having taught the geography of British Columbia there for over thirty-six years. He continues to research issues related to British Columbia and Canada, present lectures, and facilitate community-to-community meetings. He is the author of Canada: A Nation of Regions, as well as numerous articles on Canadian geography. He has facilitated field schools to Europe and Asia and given lectures across Canada and other parts of the world. He has an interest in local politics, having served for fourteen years as an elected member (Regional Director) for Roberts Creek on the Sunshine Coast Regional District, where he has resided since 1977.
